The Jammers were a popular R&B outfit that came together in the 1960s, fronted by vocalist Oren “Tracy” Marsh.

Other band members included Jasper “Jap” Allen, Gloria Brown, Annabelle Caesar, Clarke Egerton, Jr., Butch Grady , Peter Joyner, Teddy Morrow, Walter Morrow, Leon Pendarvis, and Bobb Tapp. The Jammers held a biweekly residency at the Square Club in Durham, were the house band for the Stallion Club, and even rivaled Chapel Hill’s Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts on the regional fraternity circuit.
